Top Gun Coaching
After working in the South East of S.A. for many years and creating the successful Chappell Whitty Academy in Mt Gambier, I understand the needs of Junior Country cricketers
The recent partnership with the DLCA ensures that all Country Regions can now be serviced. All DLCA Coaches are level II or III accredited – Coaches include Mark Cosgrove, Johan Botha, Joe Gatting, Peter Sleep, Shaun Tait and Andrew Zesers
Top Guns Coaching has been developed to service the Regional areas of South Australia. The significant difference with Top Guns is that Good Cricket Allround travels to the region, unlike other HP programs that expect Country players to travel to the City
Top Guns is more than just net sessions as the following skills are also covered during the (6) weeks – Correct Throwing technique, running between wickets, T20 skills in Batting & Bowling and Catching
All sessions are Coached in a group environment with numbers limited to between 8 – 12 players
1:1 tuition is also provided, and can be booked by contacting us or calling 0422 155 180 to confirm dates and times.

I have known Bill since 2013 and been involved with him with Cricket, initially as the Coach of the Lower South East U12 squad and more recently with his Good Cricket Allround Top Gun Coaching program.
He has coached my son Sam in 1:1 sessions for the past 12 months and in that time, I have seen great improvement in Sam’s play, particularly with his Batting. Bill can identify problems quickly and then, more importantly, provide training methods that can address the issues.
He keeps things simple and delivers his message in a clear manner which means the kids understand and start adjusting their technique accordingly.
He also coaches a group of U14 cricketers in Mt Gambier where he focusses on all aspects of cricket over an (6) week program. Due to his organisation skills, he delivers a precise, productive session in which the players are engaged for the full 60 minutes.
It is his flexibility in being able to Coach 1:1 or with a group that means that I would have no hesitation to recommend him to anyone considering individual coaching or Club teams.
Darren O’Donnell – Junior Coach, North Gambier CC
I first met Bill when I was a member of the South-East Junior Zone Cricket Council. He was the SACA Regional Cricket Manager for this Region and developed the Chappell-Whitty Academy in Mt Gambier. When he made his decision to leave SACA to pursue his private cricket business I had no hesitation in asking him if he would be interested in working with a group of young cricketers from my area.
That was in 2013 and Bill is still travelling to Kingston to conduct his Top Gun Coaching program. He coaches a group of players as well as delivering 1:1 sessions.
The opportunity this presents for Families and Players to get a Level II Accredited Coach to travel to a Country region to stage the coaching sessions is enormous. Even with the significant amount of travel required he is always at each session, on time and ready to go.
Bill has a great manner with each of the players and apart from teaching the basic skills effectively, he is extremely positive with them which is great for their confidence.
I hope that Bill can continue to travel to coach for many more seasons to ensure that cricket is the sport of choice in the summer for all the kids in Kingston.
